Chocolate Fudge – A Tasty Family Treat
When you’ve only got a few ingredients available…
…why not make some fudge?
It may be an old wives tale, but according to some – the first batch of this tasty treat was accidental. Caused by a ‘fudged’ batch of caramels…
Giving it the name fudge was an obvious choice don’t you think?
Here’s what you’re going to need.
Ingredients
- 680 grams of white sugar
- 170 grams of margarine
- 157 ml of evaporated milk
- 340 grams of chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (For added flavour. Not used in our recipe)
PRODUCT USED: Mr. Whipstir Whisk
Method
Grease a 9×13-inch pan.
Add sugar, margarine, and evaporated milk in a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat.
Use the Mr. Whipstir to stir and whisk the mixture together, dissolving the sugar. Bring mixture to a full boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted and thoroughly combined.
Once mixture is nice and thick, pour into the greased pan and leave in the fridge overnight. To speed things up, place in the freezer for several hours.
Easy as that 🙂
