Watermelon Punch Recipe
Attention all grown-ups! We are so tired of winter that we need a reminder of what summer is! This punch will do exactly that. Now the reason we are calling all grown-ups is that it contains a drop (ahem) a lot of alcohol.
We have used gin and ginger ale as the liquor and mixer but you could use anything you like. Why not try white or spiced rum with lemonade or lemon soda or even vodka and orange soda. You can change the fruits too.
Really there is no end of possibilities – although you may end up with a slight headache the next day if you drink too much!
If you don’t want to add the alcohol you don’t have to! It is still a delicious alcohol free punch using a mixture of fruit juices and sodas. Kids love it as it is really fun to get them to help make the basket and it is full of fresh fruit so really good for them! AND they love drinking from the basket through a silly straw!
Go ahead – give it a try! It’s fantastic!
A handful of strawberries
